  • OPPORTUNITY TO OFFER FEEDBACK ON CITY'S STREET TREE PROGRAM
The Master Tree Plan Update is in the process of being finalized and will be coming before the Planning Board and City Council for approval this summer. The Master Tree Plan is an important document which guides the City's street tree policy and will be shaping our urban forest in the years to come. Our input into the plan is very important, and the time to provide it is now.

The final version of the plan has not yet been released, but all presentations from the community meetings held in the past year and the tree chart (list of recommended trees) are available to view and download HERE. The current Master Tree Plan, which includes specific street and neighborhood recommendations, is linked at the top of the "external resources" list on the right side of this page and well worth a read. You can use the city's comment form to provide your feedback, or you can send your comments or questions directly to Matt Naclerio, Public Works director, at mnaclerio@ci.alameda.ca.us. The city is very interested in our comments in this matter and we have a real opportunity to shape our urban forest environment in a positive way.

Thank you for taking the time to let the city know we care abut the trees!
